Seeing how diverse you guys are willing to be in your reading has opened my mind to doing the same. And now,, you brats, you have now turned me on to graphic novels, which I never in a million years would've thought I would like. I was never into comic books at all and I never would've thought I would turn into a graphic novel geek at 37! lol Thanks a lot, guys, as if I didn't have enough I wanted to read already. = ) I am crazy about the "Walking Dead" and "DMZ" series. Just this weekend, I have now become addicted to "Fables." Actually, these have actually made me excited about reading again. I have always been an avid reader (trying to average a book a week) but getting into these graphic novels is the first time in a long time that I have really been so excited about reading.

Marsha, that's one of the most awesome things anyone has ever given me partial credit for! For me a big stack of GNs is like a well-paced book and an addictive DVD box set rolled into one. You are off to a great start with "The Walking Dead" and "Fables" ("DMZ" is on my to-read pile, but I hear good things). It sounds like you can navigate these waters fine on your own but in case you're looking for recommendations, and based on what you're digging already, I'd say you can't go wrong with "Preacher" (Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon) and "Y: The Last Man" (Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra). Thanks for the wonderful comment!
